AMAZING … complete with an autograph!!

Social Distortion and Billy Joel and … going way, way back … Social Distortion and the Band plus Ray Cooper are ALWAYS amazing!! So is Social Distortion and the Red Piano. I am so very, very grateful Social Distortion is still on tour!! I guess I've been to 12 - 15 concerts now. As a teacher … for my own sanity … I have to track him down and attend a concert every 12-18 months. A terrific concert!! I feel that every concert I attend is a gift and I am so, so grateful he loves touring. Social Distortion and his music are my drugs of choice. I don't know how Sir Elton's hands aren't in the worst pain ever after a show. He just kept on tickling the ivories and pounding out the hits! Plus, Sir Elton sent a "care package" of goodies (letter of encouragement, several CDs a photo with autograph, a t-shirt, etc.) to a former 4th grade student who has AIDS … just because I left a letter on the stage telling him about her. He has the BIGGEST heart. I just love the man!! Quick note: Seeing a photo of his and David's wedding cake and a photo of their children was so touching. This touring must be a hardship on the family. Grateful everyone makes it work!!
